Stranger Things season 4 has finished filming
It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like season 4 of Stranger Things has finally wrapped filming.
This is according to one of the stars of the Netflix series. In an interview shared by the Stranger Things Spoilers account on Twitter, Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), was asked if he’s still filming Stranger Things. In response, he said, “We just finished, like last week.”
Yeah, really. We’ve been filming forever. And they’re finally done. And they’re putting together another teaser.
It really has felt like they’ve been filming forever. On February 14, 2020, show creators Matt and Ross Duffer revealed that filming had officially begun on the fourth season of the show. Just two weeks later, they were forced to stop production due to COVID-19. Filming finally resumed around September of 2020. So we’ve come full circle about a year later.
Stranger Things 4 release date
It was revealed last month that Stranger Things season 4 will officially be coming to Netflix in 2022. Vague, yes. But for those of us who were hoping the show would return this year, it at least confirms that there won’t be a surprise drop before January.
And there’s more good news on the way, as Netflix will be holding a virtual event next week to showcase some of its upcoming projects. Called Tudum, the event will take place on September 25, and several stars from Stranger Things (Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Joe Keery) are included in the promo. So we expect there’ll be a lot more information about the new season when that rolls around.
Stranger Things has wrapped filming on season 4 – at least according to star Noah Schnapp.
Fans have had a long wait for the next chapter of the Netflix series, with setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic adding to frustrations.
However, it appears that things are truly progressing, with the Will Byers actor revealing in a surfaced clip that not only has production finished, but a new teaser is on the way too.
