Though no details were given about her role, it follows a certain trend in Stranger Things casting. Given how much the show embraces 80s nostalgia, there have been several cast members whose popularity began in the 80s. This includes Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice) and Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) in season 1, Sean Astin (The Goonies) and Paul Reiser (Aliens) in season 2, Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) in season 3, and Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) in season 4. With Hamilton's iconic role in The Terminator, she fits right into that trend.
