How many seasons of Sweet Tooth are there?

Currently, there is only one season of Sweet Tooth on Netflix. We’re hopeful that this will be a four or five-season Netflix original show, but we’ll have to wait and see how it goes.

As of July 29, 2021, we officially know that Sweet Tooth season 2 is in the works! As reported by Collider, the unique series has been renewed by Netflix for another installment. What great news for fans of Sweet Tooth.

Based on the response to the series and how many people have been watching it since its debut, it was a no-brainer for Netflix to renew Sweet Tooth for season 2. The decision ultimately came down to a few things: if there was more to the story if the creative team wanted to tell the story, and if enough people were watching. It looks like Sweet Tooth checks the boxes.

We haven’t heard the episode count for Sweet Tooth season 2 yet. We are anticipating the second season of the show will be eight episodes, like the first season of the series.

When is Sweet Tooth season 2 filming?

According to a report from What’s on Netflix, Sweet Tooth season 2 starts production in early 2022 and ends in June 2022.

If that happens, a 2022 release date is very much in doubt.

Netflix has not announced the Sweet Tooth season 2 release date yet. It’ll likely take at least a year until Sweet Tooth season 2 hits Netflix.

Knowing that production is scheduled to begin in January 2022 and run through June 2022, it’s not looking very good for a release date on Netflix in 2022. Sweet Tooth season 2 would probably arrive on Netflix sometime in early 2023 if production does last until June.

Now, there are some Netflix shows that end production in June and are able to get seasons out sometime later in the year. I don’t know if that can happen for Sweet Tooth season 2. There are fewer special effects for this show than others, but it’s still such a quick turnaround.

At the very earliest, expect to see Sweet Tooth season 2 on Netflix in Q4 2022 (October-December).

Netflix has not confirmed the full cast, but we have to imagine we’ll see all of these cast members back for season 2 below.

Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Will Forte, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, and Neil Sandilands. James Brolin should be back as the narrator of the series in season 2.
