Netflix's epic sci-fi Lost in Space has confirmed that it will premiere its third and final season on December 1.
Audiences have been eagerly awaiting the return of the space colonist Robinson family ever since season 2 cut to black around Christmas 2019.
In the brand new teaser trailer – viewable above – Maxwell Jenkins's young Will sends out a dramatic transmission while shots of asteroid fields, spacecraft chases and murderous robots play out.

"This is Will Robinson of the 24th colonist group. If you're watching this recording, there's a chance things didn't work out the way I hoped they would," shares Will.
As well as Jenkins, season three welcomes back his character's mum Maureen (reprised by Molly Parker), dad John (Toby Stephens), siblings Judy (Taylor Russell) and Penny (Mina Sundwall), and of course the trusted Robot
Following the teaser's release, Lost in Space fans shared their appreciation for the streaming service seeing out the full story instead of cancelling it.
"Trailer is looking amazing. Good thing Netflix is giving a conclusion to this awesome show instead of just abandoning it. Can't wait to watch," read one YouTube comment.

Showrunner Zack Estrin previously said of the decision to conclude the series: "From the beginning, we've always viewed this particular story of the Robinsons as a trilogy. A three-part epic family adventure with a clear beginning, middle and end.
"It's also worth noting that, with what these characters go through just trying to survive each episode, if anyone deserves to catch their breath before their next mission – it's Will, Penny, Judy, Maureen, John, Don West, Dr Smith... and The Robot. And, of course, Debbie the Chicken."
Suit up, we're heading back into space.
